Nedjemet was the wife of the High Priest of Amun Herjhor a general, probably of Libyan ancestry, who came to power in Thebes during the civil wars in the last years of  the 20th, Ramesside, Dynasty, the last Dynasty of the New Kingdom. His relationship with the High Priests' family of the 21a Theban Dynasty founded by general and HPA Piankh remains the subject of a heated discussion which we shall not engage in here. The extensively plundered remains of Nedjemet's burial were found in the Royal Cachette TT320, although this was certainly not primary. They must have been transfered there in the period following the burial of HPA Pinodjem II in the 10th year of the Tanite king, Siamun, and the 11th year of the 22nd Dynasty Bubastide king Sheshonq I when the tomb was closed for the last time by his second son, HPA Iuput.
